Shaded by an enchanting canopy of rainforest and connected by a network of jungle walkways, Keemala’s 38 villas are complete with private pools and are designed for guests wishing to experience a rustic, yet lavish, escape.
The design of the villas was inspired by the stories, cultures, traditions, and lifestyles of four groups of fictitious ancient Phuket settlers. Their characteristics are reflected in all elements of the villas and cottages.
Choose from a range of cottages and villas. There are 16 one- and two bedroom Clay Pool Cottages that reflect the earthiness of the Pa-Ta-Pea (Earth) Clan while the seven Tent Pool Villas are inspired by the nomadic lives of the Khon-Jorn (Wanderer) Clan and feature a master bedroom with fantastic views.
The unique seven Tree Pool Houses are seemingly suspended and offer two levels. They are inspired by the creative lives of the We-ha (Sky) Clan and feature one master bedroom. The eight Bird’s Nest Pool Villas draw inspiration from the Rung Nok (Nest) Clan who enjoyed an opulent lifestyle. They feature one master bedroom with a large bathroom with splendid views.
Dining at Keemala is an absolute treat. The main restaurant, Mala Restaurant, offers all-day dining while Cha-La serves pool side refreshments. The cosy lounge area inside one of the main pods is perfect for afternoon tea and the wine cellar is ideal for intimate dinners. The culinary team sources the freshest, local ingredients available and they focus on presenting beautifully prepared, wholesome food.
With its ideal location on the west coast of the island, Keemala enjoys dramatic breathtaking sunsets over the beach. Perfect for that end-of-day cocktail!
Believing that guests choose Keemala as a place to pause and unwind from the stresses of modern day living, Mala Spa embraces traditional healing approaches to the body, mind and soul and integrates these with modern pampering and beauty regimes.
To renew and refresh your tired mind and body, or to just feel rejuvenated with an anti-ageing skin treatment, a range of treatments including massage, healing bodywork and a customised holistic program is offered. Each spa journey has been carefully curated to incorporate the elements of water, earth, fire and air and the unique rituals, designed by the spa team, are inspired by the stories of the Keemala clans and their distinctive way of living.
